Hi All,

I am a B.E(computer science) gradute with an overall 6 years of experience in IT java product support.
I have theoratical knowledge of java but never had hands on experience in coding. When ever i shifted to new company, I learned their product but not any cutting edge technology. I feel that I just wasted my time all these days and now due to personal reasons I have taken career break. I have been thinking of searching for job again but there is lot of competition out there and currently I am on dependent visa(h4). So in the current situation I don't have much in my résumé to get employers attention.
The only thing that comes to my mind is doing SCJP certification( do you suggest the same?) How tough it is to get through this exam without hands on programming knowledge?

Need your suggestion in shaping up my career once again. Kindly suggest with best suitable option.

Thanks in advance
Setu
