Difference between CharacterStream and ByteStream

ByteStream

1. Used to perform IO operation of binary data or byte data
Examples: audio files, video files, word files i.e .doc,.xls ,image
and it supports only ASCII

2. Character Stream

Used to perform IO operation of Character i.e it only supports UNICODE characters, so supports any human language.
Examples. doc,.xls files .

So Character Stream doesnt support audio, video files and all?

Please, tell me is the above difference correct or no. IF any let me know.
Thanks

Do you understand the difference between a character and a byte?

With a little knowledge, a cast iron skillet is non-stick and lasts a lifetime.
