We've started tackling Jasper at work. It has a lot of fantastic features, but it seems like you need to navigate a pretty wide set of options just to build a very basic report.

Is Rails web reporting as good as Rails is with everything else? Can you easily get all sorts of intelligent defaults for grids and text layout in your reports? Graphs? Charts?

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
