Hi Folks! First time poster here.

Quick one regarding the SCJA. I bought the two books by Cameron Wallace McKenzie(Study guide and the Questions Book) early last year. I never got around to opening them due to circumstances. Now Im starting again and want to get the SCJA before the end of March.

Can anyone confirm if these books are still all I would need to pass this exam? I know Oracle have since taken over Sun since I bought them and the books themselves are getting on in years. I just want to make sure they have everything I will need for an SCJA Exam in 2011. Im only looking to pass this exam.

Thanks a lot Folks.
Brendan

Hi Galway,

The objectives on the exam are the same.

You can see them in this page:Java Standard Edition 5 and 6, Certified Associate Exam

I also have those books and I'm studying by them.

Good Luck!

Yup, the exam hasn't been updated, although they have changed the name. Start studying, and if you can pass the exams in the book, you'll be able to pass the exam!

Thanks for the Replies Guys. Im finished the Study Notes and into the Exam Books now. Aiming to take the test proper in about 3-4 weeks. Straight into the SCJP after that.

Great books btw Cameron, Cheers!

Yes, you can pass the exam by studying with Cameron's books alone, many have.
