I see there is auto-linking feature for all class names to their corresponding API. For e.g. RuntimeException. But for String it's redirecting to this post. Is that intended?

Thanks!

Yes, it is deliberate.

It turns out that we don't include links for single-word class names (Class, System, Object) as the number of false positives would be too high. The "String" link comes from a different set of links, intended to highlight some of our more popular and useful threads and Wiki pages.
