I was asked to post a full description, so here is the current information :

Please check back to this original article maintained at soabus.org as the requirements are evolving. This work is ideal for college students or others looking to earn some spending money and experience doing real work on a real site.

MT is looking for a freelance Web Site developer skilled in HTML5 and javascript to embark on a multi-phase effort, to be paid as a pay-as-you-go in the form of an Amazon gift card in the amount agreed. The current scope is four page web site currently designed in wire frame. The developer will take the wire frame design for one web site page and create the look, sound, and feel as described in the specification document.

The refinement will progress over time. The first effort will take about ten hours. Once the developer is satisfied that the effort is complete, the developer can submit the work product to Project Manager for evaluation. The Project Manager will evaluate the work product as to the look&feel's originality, content, functionality, and fitness to particular purpose. The work product will be graded on this scale :

A- Excellent, meets specifications. $200 Amazon Gift Card
B- Good. Needs some fine tuning. $100 Amazon Gift Card
C- Average. Needs more effort. $40 Amazon Gift Card
D- Not accepted. Please try again.
F- Not accepted, do not try again.

Once the work product meets Grade A, the developer will have the option to proceed to the next phase of the project for further compensation. Potential earnings over the life of this effort could amount to well over $1,000.

Upon delivery of the work product for phase 1, the Project Manager will grade the work product according to the standards listed here. If the first attempt makes a Grade C, earning $40 AGC, and the second attempt makes Grade A, the difference will be paid on a second AGC ($160) to equal the reward for Grade A, $200. Part of the grading process will be to run the developer's code through the W3 validator : http://validator.w3.org/ . All markup should be delivered as UTF-8. Efficient and creative use of CSS is desired using the link tag, using browser-based box model. Mouse-over 'fly-by' tags are essential for every element/field. The resulting work product for phase 1 will produce a web page that makes extensive use of jquery's droppable functionality ( http://jqueryui.com/droppable ).

Prior to starting work, the developer will receive a simple one-page agreement that requires the developer's signature, which basically says that the developer represents this work to be his or hers alone, the developer is working as a freelance contracted resource, and all right, title, and ownership of the resulting work product will be wholly transferred to the proprietor. Developer will be required to return the signed agreement before starting any work and the resulting work product for phase 1 will be due 60 days from the date of signature.

The wire frame design roughly equates to this :

The width of the main frame is 1,400 pixels. The minimum height of the main frame is 900 pixels, but can be expanded by dragging the lower part of the frame. If more content is displayed in the main frame than the 900 pixels allow, a scroll bar is enabled to allow the user to scroll.

Top Banner : The top of the screen contains a logo, a header, and several buttons, one of which is 'Settings'. The banner measures 1400x220 .

Main frame : The main frame is divided into two docks. The first dock on the left side is one third (466 pixles) wide. The second dock on the right side is two-thirds (934 pixles) wide. The second dock itself is divided into thirds. Items from the first dock on the left can be dragged to the dock on the right, to be fit within one of the thirds inside the second dock. Items in the first dock measure 460x120 and contain three labels/fields. A larger text field measures 390x70, a png field measures 62x62, and a smaller text field measures 60x114. When a first-dock-item is dragged to the second dock, the resulting dockable occupies one third of the second dock, or roughly 300 pixels wide by 880 pixels high. Once in the second dock, the dockable item cannot be dragged again, and can only be 'closed' by clicking it's 'X' upper right of the dockable. Using the measurements given, one can extrapolate that a total number of first-dock-items that fit in the first dock is seven and total number of second-dock-items that fit in the second dock is three. Items in the first dock are stacked one of top of the other. Items in the second dock appear side-by-side.

Sound fonts : In the upper right of the main frame, there will be several buttons. One of those buttons to be labeled 'Settings'. When the user clicks 'Settings', the user can change various toggles to affect the behavior of the application. One of the behaviors the user can select is which sound font gets loaded into the application. The user can select a radio button to choose between four sound fonts. Each user action in the application will invoke the play of a particular wav or mp3 file. The sound font chosen will map specific wav or mp3 files into an internal behavior HashMap (or equivalent) so that when the user clicks an application button or drags a dockable from one place to the other, a specific sound is played. One of four sound fonts can be selected by the Settings dialog.
 
Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
