Hi Paul/Joseph,

Thanks a ton. At last we have a book which covers all the aspects of Architect exam. My question is among the broader topics what should be distribution of weightage. I mean can you please assign percentage against each heading below.

1. Application Design Concepts and Principles

2. Common Architectures

3. Integration and Messaging

4. Business Tier Technologies

5. Web Tier Technologies

6. Applicability of Java EE Technology

7. Patterns

8. Security

Thanks and Regards
Souvik

Souvik:

Thanks, in terms of preparing for part 1 prep the distribution should be equal. Concentrate on your weaknesses if any.
With respect to parts 2 and 3, inI my opinion the concentration should be ordered as follows:

1. Business Tier Technologies

2. Web Tier Technologies

3. Integration and Messaging

4. Security

best

Hi Joseph,
I am a newbie regarding the Architect Certification (SCEA/OCMJEA), I have just completed the OCAJS7 and I am planning to take the OCPJS7 and then I wonder if there will be a (SCEA/OCMJEA) for Java 7, in what I have review I have seen it goes till Java 6. Please let me know your thought about it.

Carlos
re your question
if there will be a (SCEA/OCMJEA) for Java 7

The new OCMJEA exam (java6) was just released it will be perhaps 2 years before the next one
