Hi,

I have 6years of IT experience. Out of 6yrs, 3years experience with C++ and the next 3 years in production support(majorly worked in PL/SQL).
I stopped working a year back. Now again I am planning to start my career in Java.

Please help me in knowing, is this is good decision based on my previous IT exp.

Welcome to Javaranch!

Experience in C++ these days is really a niche skill to build upon. If you can find a position that leverages your C++ experience, opt for it. You can pick up Java which should be relatively easier for you since you come from a C++ background. There are plenty of jobs for Java than C++.
