I've got some knowledge about Java and I developed some J2EE projects at school, but that happened years ago.
Now I was trying to learn about frameworks, but I'm confused. In example I have not understood if Spring and Struts are mutually exclusive or if they CAN coexist or if the MUST coexist.
Could you briefly clarify me the situation and give me an hint on how to start to learn these frameworks?

At the moment I haven't a project to develop or any other important reason to learn about Java EE and frameworks, at the moment it is just for my personal knowledge.
