I am using java 7, what is the default heap allocation if i dont mention?

Unless it has changed (or I am remembering wrong): 1/4 of your physical memory size up to 1 GB.

This is the java tool documentation for Windows® on Java7. Look for the -Xmx option and go to the garbage collection ergonomics link. That tells you that the initial size is 1÷64 of available memory (or more) and the default maximum ¼ of memory or 1GB whichever is the smaller.
