It took me forever to work out why it's pi day today because, as far as I - and pretty much the rest of the world - is concerned, it's 14/3 ... which I suppose might make it "1/7th day".

I suppose you have to work this out every year? :P

Some people prefer to celebrate "steak and..." errr... "special treatment day" on this date.

I've been using the ISO standard for dates myself for a long time now (it's an international standard, what's not to like?) and so for me today is 2016-03-14.
