I am preparing OCAJP7 by OCA/OCP Java SE 7 Programmer I & II Study Guide K&B and OCA Java SE 7 Programmer I Certification Guide by Mala Gupta.
After reading each topic, I purchase enthuware hanumant deshmukh OCAJP7 practice set ebook . I read objective wise each section of Practice book,
And then attempt all test paper and got average 75%. And then i attempt mock paper from Mala Gupta and got 82%.
I have not solved any mock paper in simulator, Now i am confused that can i appear for final exam or i have to purchase any other simulator.
If i have to purchase any simulator then which is best??

Can i solved new mock test like above means more % than above?

Hi Rakesh kumar Gupta,

First of all, a warm welcome to CodeRanch!

If you score +80% (or 75%) on the Enthuware mock exams, you are almost guaranteed to pass the actual exam. But the mock exam scores only count if you have taken the mock exams in exam mode, meaning you have used the appropriate time limit, you have only used pen and paper to solve the questions and only scores on a first attempt do count. So if you meet all these criteria, you'll be ready for the actual exam. And Enthuware mock exams are commonly know to be slightly harder than the actual exam, so the actual score might be a bit higher (but that's not a guarantee).

You don't have to be afraid of the actual exam software. It's very simple and intuitive to use. And if I remember correctly, you get one or two test questions so you can familiarize yourself with the exam software. In this post you'll find a nice description about what to expect of the actual exam software.

And if you are still interested in purchasing another simulator: In the OcajpFaq (besides other very useful information) and this thread you'll find an overview of all available resources (study guides, mock exams, video courses,...) to thorougly prepare yourself for the certification exam. And on the OcajpWallOfFame you'll find plenty of (links to) experiences from other ranchers (including resources they have used). So it can be useful to determine which resources are useful (and which are not).

Hope it helps!
Kind regards,
Roel

Rakesh,
I am not sure what you mean by this -

And then attempt all test paper and got average 75%.

It looks like you first read all the questions and their explanations from the objective-wise section and then attempted the standard tests, in which you scored 75%.
If that is true, I would like to warn you that your score is very misleading. Since you had already seen the questions before attempting the standard tests, you would have remembered a lot of answers while taking standard tests and the resulting score is therefore a lot higher than it would have been had you not seen the questions before.

I would suggest you to take some other mock exam (one that you haven't seen before) within time limit and see how you score.

HTH,
Paul.

Thank you for the answer Roel and also Paul,
I understand what was problem with me. I attempted mock test of practice
set after reading each section objective wise, and most of the answer i
remember from objective wise section.
Is there any practice set which cost arround $15?
Any one tell me that whizlabs online practice is good or there is any other
better practice set?

If you are using Enthuware mock exams (or any other mock exams), it might be very useful to read this thread as well. So you don't make the mistake of rushing through all the mock exams (or going through the object-wise tests first). The difference between standard and objective-wise tests is well-explained here. And here you'll find some valuable information about how to prepare for the exam using Enthuware tests. I know all this advice is pretty useless to you, but I hope others will learn from it and won't make the same mistake. Here you'll find another post with similar advice and another bunch of useful links.

In the OcajpFaq you'll find an overview of all free and commercial mock exams. And on the OcajpWallOfFame you'll find plenty of (links to) experiences from other ranchers (including resources they have used). So it can be useful to determine which resources are useful (and which are not). But I'm pretty sure most of them will mention the Enthuware mock exams. But I noticed you have already purchased a package offer which includes 30-day access to Kaplan tests

Hope it helps!
Kind regards,
Roel
