I am a SCBCD and I have no knowledge about web services. Do you think if I study hard enough for the test i can pass it. or do you think having expericense is a must?
Thank you for your feedback.

it is not impossible nor necessary but if you have experience then you'll enjoy your preperation as well writing the exam and OfCourse it reduces your learning curve for your preperation ...

I think RR is completely right. Some people will be enraged that I am going to say this, but any test whatsoever can be cracked with adequate preparation in spite of no commercial experience. I have been programming in C# for the last two years, however I have a SCWCD, SCBCD, SCMAD, all without any prior experience.

I have to admit I did find the SCBCD exam hard. Certification is a great way to open up new areas for you and proves that you have extensive knowledge of an area in spite of no experience, it helps you get distinguished from others who have no experience but are claiming the same knowledge, my MCAD helped me begin my C# career.

According to my past experience in taking certs, I don't think that real world experience is a must to pass a cert exam... If you study hard, you can pass it... But the fact whether it is useful or not after passing the exam totally depends on your career path that you are in... If you are not going to develope any web services stuff, sooner or later you will forget the things that you get from passing the exam... So everything is totally up to you and your current situation... Hope my opinion helps....
