The test itself wasn't that easy. Most of the questions dealed
with EJB and AppServer.
I had 2 questions about i18n and 4 questions about security ( easy ones ).
The UML stuff was easy, too. I had to identify and explain some
UML diagrams.
The most difficult think was to choose a solution for a given
infrastructure ( e.g. increasing scalability, performance etc.),
becuase sometimes it was very difficult to figure out what
these people are talking about.
Time was also a problem. I had 75mins for the test and I spent
most of the time in reading the questions.
The JMS questions were also easy.
Besides, I had to figure out what design patterns are used in
the Java API ( ResultSet, EJBObject..), so I had to know the
GoF Patterns.
all in all, I made 5 mistakes in total.

I have some more doubts:
1. Did you got any Short Answer Type questions.
2. Can you suggest any good ( preferably online) resource for design patterns used in Java API

No, there were only multiple choice questions.

Congrats Marco Nice score
I was reading reviews of Cooper's book on Amazon.com
Most of them are negative and suggest author lacks understanding of the design patterns.
I am not sure whether to use this book or not.
What you guys think?

Hey I am referring Cooper's material for the Architect part I exam... I found Gamma's book GOF patterns very dry....
Is cooper's book not enough...

I fyou are new to design patterns, Cooper's book won't be
enough to understand how these patterns work. But in my opinion,
it is a good extension.
The original book by Gamma is more detailed but is written
in C++.
I have a newer html based version of Gamma's book. I do not have any url, but I could email ( but it's about 5megs)
All in all, Coopers book is enough for the Architect Part1
concerning the design patterns questions.
They are not that difficult.

Most of them suggest the book 'Java2NetworkSecurity' (available for free download) as the good book for Security... But the book has got 700 pgs.. Are we supposed to read everything..
Can u pls tell me what did u refer for the topic Security and also for protocols...

enough to pass the security part.
Concerning the EJB Security Questions, I would prefer
Mastering EJB by Ed Roman ( which is a MUST for all EJB Developer)

All who want the HTML version of the GOF book,
please make sure that your mail server provides you the sufficient space.
For sure Hotmail provides only 2 MB mail space.
Indiatimes provides 10 MB of Space.
