This is not like an interview, where you will be asked to prove your experience in the form of a paper. You just have to have a strong knowledeg in Java. Than's all it takes to crack the exam.

Six months is just an approximate guideline for what might be required to prepare for the exam. It is not anything you are required to fulfill or verify.

The 1.5 exam is considered slightly harder, but it comes with the advatange of addressing the later version of the language.

Rajesh,
I'm bothered by what I interpret as your unwillingness to find these answers out for yourself, or at least give the impression that you have made an attempt to do as much.

If you can find the time, at the top of this forum, there is a link to a FAQ section that will most likely address many of your concerns. You may also want to give some consideration to visiting Sun's website. Last time I was there they dedicated a page or two to Java certification.

If you still have questions after doing a bit fo personal research, then by all means please use the forum search function. If that doesn't do it, then share them and let the forum try to help.

Good luck

I think it depends on your goal. IMHO, SCJP is just a stepping stone to other certifications. I took SCJP because it is a prerequisite for the other java certifications. I took SCJP 1.4 because I wanted to clear it quickly (2 weeks/92%) so I can take the other certification. You can always learn new features of later version.
