Can I show Intership experience in my job application resume/cv

As part of final semester college project I had completed a 4 month internship in a reputed IT company. It was a .NET project.

After college I got a job as a java developer and right now I have 2.8 years of experience in java development. I am looking for a job switch. Now these days as most companies are asking for an experience of 3 years I am not getting many interview calls from companies.

I have not added my internship work experience in my resume/cv. If I do that my experience will become 3 years and I can expect more interview calls. But I am not sure whether it would be the right thing to do and whether the company (where I apply for job) would ever consider the internship experience as job experience.

Please help me out and suggest me if it would be the right thing to add the internship experience in my resume.

Why not? I would have thought it is bona fide experience which ought to be written down. Within the space constraints, of course.

Absolutely. As an interesting story, my grad school wanted two years of experience in the field for the program. I had graduated from college roughly 6 months earlier. They agreed to count two 3 month internship and 7 years at working a job one hour a day.

The point being if it is just to satisfy a filter, it is fine to include things. After that it is what you did during that time which matters.
