So, I am going to be doing more coding on my Mac then I had before. (The Mac I had from my previous job I did lots of coding on it)
Anyway, I am wondering where I should code?
So I have VMWare Fusion with an Ubuntu image, Windows XP Pro image.
For some reason I am a little bit more comfortable developing on Linux or Windows more than inside Mac OS.
But will I like it in Mac OS better. I mean I could, the biggest concert I have is that I have this problem with where to put files on a Mac. There is the documents folder, but I just find that folder tough to find things, that it gets cluttered. Same with the download directory. I feel weird putting anything on the desktop, especially program icons, so even though I use QuickSilver, I still have issues with finding my apps, even though they are all in Applications folder. I guess I just find it unorganized to me, and I can't get over it.
If I install Eclipse as well as already having IntelliJ, I just feel claustrophobic. I definitely more than 13" of screen space. ;)
Am I crazy? What is the best practice for organizing your directory structure. Maybe I should follow a GTD approach and create an inbox folder, a projects folder, and maybe some other folder.
Thanks for listening to me babble.
