Hello there...

I am new to this Oracle EBS thing and fusion. What exactly are these terminologies/technologies used for?

I have gone on to Oracle and read about them but I can not get them properly.

Can some one explain with an real world example where an EBS(E-business suite) will come into play? I have seen statements like "Oracle fusion is used to access the SOA architecture of EBS". What does it mean?

Is there any relation of these technologies with Java/J2EE?

Thanks and Regards,
Girish

2012 and I am having the same problem. Perhaps it is too vast too give a "dummies" or "head first" style of explanation for it. Even then, I feel that the oracle people can try to give a "complete layman's explanation". If a layman can understand it, then a techie should have no problems in doing the same.
If anyone here has a nice layman explanation, please share.

Did you already try to search the Oracle web for documentation? I've found the Concepts Guide this way.

(Concepts Guide is the introductory documentation for most Oracle products. I've read the Concepts Guide for the Oracle database; if this one is as good, then it's the documentation you're looking for.)
