HI everyone I'm in this condition:

I had a problem with my user ID in the Prometric testing Web site: the old account SRXXX1 didn'work and to substain the exam I have made a new account registration SRXXXX3. I'm worried about the scea certification process because I took the step 1 of the certification (CX-310-052) with the old account I downloaded the assignmet (CX-310-301A)with the old Account now I'm about to upload and I will upload through https://www.certmanager.net/sun_assignment/assignment.html and in that database my sun ID is still associated with the old prometric ID Account so probably I will upload with the old prometric account the assignment; but next week I will do the essay exam with the new Prometric account and that examination will be stored with a different prometric ID.

Some question about this situation (I already wrote to prometric about this condition but I still have 2 testing ID).

when I will do the upload I have to use the new or the old account?

when I will do the essay exam the question of the exam wil be relative with the right assignment ?

the whole certification path will be restored?

Can somebody help me ???

There is no uploading anymore. You have to email the assignment jar file to Oracle and provide the prometric id in the subject line and in the index.html file.

If your old id did not work, you can use the forgot userid/password link to retrieve your id and reset the password. While I know of cases where prometric has merged two ids, it is a manual process on their end and one that is prone to human error. If possible, talk to your local prometric testing center on the phone and explain the situation and see if they can help you to register for part 3 using your old prometric id. Since you cannot go back and change the prometric id for your part 1, it is better to talk to the local prometric center and see if they can change your part 3 registration to use the old id instead of the new one.

Good luck.

prometric told me that they will "merge" the 2 Ids about 30 hours ago but now I still have 2 IDs and the old one is not accessibilbe from the prometric Site but is associated with my Sun certification Profile on the Sun certification system.

I have the examination on tuesday of the next week

Good luck.

Yes. You need to email your assignment to architect-submit_US@oracle.com.

You can find the new submission process details at the link https://ibt1.prometric.com/index.asp?ibt=1649896502&

Excerpt from the link above is included below.

SCEA Candidates
There are three parts to the SCEA certification; 310-052 (multiple-choice), 310-301A (assignment), and 310-062 (essay). You must complete Part 1 (exam 310-052) at Prometric before you start Part 2 (assignment 310-301A) on this site.
To register and take Part 1 (exam 310-052) go to Prometric.

Once you have completed 310-052, you may start the assignment exam 310-301A.

Click First Time Registration and create your web testing profile. You must have your Prometric ID you used when you took 310-052 at Prometric when you create your web registration here. Without this Prometric ID your certification records will not merge. Your Prometric ID will start with "SR" followed by 7 characters.
After you have created your profile by First Time Registration, you will be at the candidate menu. Click the Public Tests submit button.
Choose the SCEA 310-301A exam. There is no promotion or voucher code.
Your SCEA assignment is randomly chosen from a pool of assignments. You must print your assignment. The exam session will stay valid for 2 hours after which time you will not be allowed to relaunch the exam assignment. You have up to one year to complete the assignment and the essay. The Part 3 exam (310-062) is an essay which you should take immediately after completing your work on the assignment. The essay exam asks you questions about your assignment, so it is important that you take 310-062 while your assignment is fresh in your mind. You must take 310-062 at Prometric, like you did with 310-052. We cannot grade 310-301A without the completion of 310-062.
When you have completed your assignment (310-301A) and the essay exam (310-062), you must email the assignment JAR file as an attachment to the email address architect-submit_US@oracle.com. Make sure you understand what is to be included in the JAR file before send it. Also test your file extensively before you submit it for grading. When you send your assignment to architect-submit_US@oracle.com please include your Prometric ID in the subject of the message.Your assignment will be hand graded by a Java EE Architect. You will receive a grade in 4-6 weeks. Your grade will be Pass or Fail. For purposes of exam security, you will not receive details on your pass, and only limited details should you fail the assignment or essay exam. Should you fail the assignment for any reason, you may purchase the 310-301A exam again, and resubmit your assignment with corrections.

The questions in part 3 are not related to any specific assignment. They are mainly questions that ask you to justify your design choices, alternatives considered and how, what and why of non functional requirements. They are all generic questions that can apply to any assignment. Prometric's submission system will submit your part 3 using the id used for registration (in your case your new id). Oracle will not be able to find a part 1 completion for the same id. While I am sure that they can work it out, it will lead to un-necessary confusion. I would recommend that you postpone your part3 if possible by a week or so till the ids are merged and you can use your old id for part 3.

It is easier to deal with prometric than it is to deal with Sun/Oracle.

hi,

i went thru same problem of two prometeric ids. While giving part 3, promteric guy submited my exam without any answer while trying to skip advetizment. Then he created a new id for me and sent request to prometric center to merge both IDs.

Finally both were visible on sun certification database .
