Is there an exam that is available to take for IOS development (like SCJP)

I agree with Bear - even if there were such a certification, it's unlikely to impress anyone as much as a couple of nice apps out in the wild (without which nobody is going to pay you for iOS development anyway).

Having an approved application at Apple Store is what the majority (if not all) of employers are looking for.
