Hadoop: confusion between Hive tables and HBase tables..

Hi..I have been learning Hadoop...and ran some Map Reduce programs...For Hive..I load data to HDFS and usign Hive query the data...
However I have doubt regarding what is difference between Hive Tables and HBase tables....Can someone clarify..

In Hive, you cannot do randome read/ update. HBase supports that. A lot more also.
