Depends on the testing you are looking to do...

For unit testing code, or testing individual objects, jUnit 4.x is a must. From here, there are different schools of thought as to best testing framework / tool. I use Mockito to mock test my controllers and services and jUnit tests to thoroughly test my DAOs, utility classes and transformers. Others like PowerMock, EasyMock, etc.

For testing web service (soap based and resful) code, SoapUI is probably the best to learn. Again, there are many others out there.

For regression testing, Selenium is usually the standard.

For QA testing, there are a lot of different approaches. HP quality center is at a few places I have been.

Finally, for automated testing, you may want to look at Jenkins and Sonar. They are becoming a standard approach for build and test automation and reporting of defects.
