Activiti plugin not deleting elements from .bpmn file when elements are removed from the diagram.

Activiti plugin is not working well. I added one gateway in diagram and it appeared in .bpmn file, which is good but then I removed it from diagram visually, it still persists in my xml file.
Problem is that now when I need to modify my existing activiti file I would need to do it manually.
Can't rely on eclipse.

Hi Puneett,
You are right. Same problem I use to have at beginning when I started using Activiti Designer. I guess, in current Implementation of designer not supporting synchronization between diagram and xml file. Its better to draw diagram first, save it and then open xml file. If some changes required then close xml and do modification. This is the workaround I use to do.

What I mean is that even if I close file and generate bpmn20.xml file using "create deployment artifacts", the file still has remenants of deleted elements.

No I didn't had such type of issue. But I had it in Eclipse designer.

I was talking about eclipse designer.
Is there any other tool to update activiti diagrams.

The default way of using the Activiti Designer is to use only the graphical tooling and not XML.
There is however basic support to add attributes to modeled elements in the XML.
If you can specify the steps you took and the issue you were facing in detail I can try and see what's causing the issue.

Thanks,

Tijs

Tjis thanks for looking into this.
I am using Activiti designer in eclipse. I created a diagram with few items from the pallete and created a bpmn20 file (using "create deployment artifacts").
Later I deleted one of the gateways and generated file again but when I checked xml file that gateway was still there. I had to delete it manually from xml file.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
