Dear friends,

Recently I passed OCA 7 exam with 88%. This was my first programming language after my college studies.

Though I have not registered earlier with coderanch I always refer faq and user threads about exam queries during my studies.

I used k&b book. It’s very useful for my preparation. This is enough to clear for OCA Java 7 exam, but I am not sure about next level exam.

I practice with epractize labs training simulator mock exam. Their study guide under basic sessions and mock exam is very helpful for my preparation. The coding practice in advanced session need some improvements but okay for beginners.

It was all worth it for what I experienced from my preparation to real exam. I am looking forward to learn more about Java and hopefully take the OCP 7 very soon.

Hello Cynthia,

Congratulations for your success.

I am also preparing for OCA 7 and have a couple of questions to ask.
-I am studying from K&B 6 and preparing topics covered in OCA 7 exam from the same book and have mock exam papers of OCPJP 6 for practice. Are these book enough for OCA 7 or I have to refer something specific for OCA 7.?
-What is the difficulty level of OCA 7 as compare to OCPJP 6?

Thanks in advance and all the best for OCP 7.

I studied based on bert's chapter guidelines for OCA exam.
You can also get the info here.

To my knowledge the exam is easy when compared to OCP exam.

Thanks to astha, paul, dante and koilraj.
