Hi,

I am a Java developer and thinking to enter into PEGA BPM world. Is this the right time to enter into it or it is too late ? Other technology suggestions are welcome.

Thanks.
Regards,
Hemil

Hi Hermil,

Hope you are in PEGA now.

Could you please share your experience?

My company has looked at Pega. It's the new Microsoft FrontPage of the 2010s!

Any dummy can use it. No coding is necessary. It's cloud based UI allows users to "develop" your application. Pega generates all of the Java, JSP, SQL, etc.. code for you.

With several magical features (including drag and drop like FrontPage) your company will be losing control or your applications and the business side of your company will become furious. Tweaks to the UI will require a ticket to Pega since you aren't allowed to have the source code.

Companies should be scared of this "solution" since much control will be given to yet another vendor who doesn't have the same priorities your company has.
