Java connection Object to PERL

Hi,

I have seen this topic discussed in many forums but i dont see a simple example which helps me out.
I am looking at passing Java database connection object to PERL script(Which sits on a Linux box)
I dont want to create a new connection because do nt want to send password to perl

Option 1: Use DBD:JDBC

Not very clear about this example

Option2: Use JDBI Api
http://jdbi.org
Create a datasource.Pass the data source to DBI.
IS there a way to pass the DBI object to perl and execute queries


I think there would be people who have acheived it very easily.
If someone can share some examples it will be really helpful.
