Hi,
I am using Java Mail API to send emails to end users through java class file. I have requirement to add voting option with Approve and Reject option, so that end user will get these options in mail. Can anyone help how to get these options in mail using Java.
I heard about Java TNEF package to solve this but not sure how to use it. Pleease advice.

OK, so you send a user an email - which is after all just a chunk of text. You want:

so that end user will get these options in mail.

How do you expect to get the user choices back?

I see the following methods in use these days:

1. URL links with the choice parameters set. ie "http://somehost/survey/approve" or "http://somehost/survey/noway"

2. Embedded HTML form. (requires that the user accept HTML fomated email)

3. Instructions to do an email reply with "approve" or "noway" in the first line.

1 & 2 will of course require a servlet to extract the vote, 3 will require email processing.

Standard email has no such functionality - that's Outlook and Exchange-specific.

I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
