You can try it via the badges.

I tried to see the member count a few days back through badges. :-) Idle curiosity.

There is a default badge for every member number but you can always see the last valid badge. :-)

But someone is constantly writing programs for CodeRanch. So if someone has read my response and changed the logic, I wouldn't know. But a few days back, that was the logic ( one implementation detail of CodeRanch :-) ).

Ok. Fine. Now I'm not in the mood of giving more hints. :-)

Happy hunting. :-)

You must solve it yourself. Don't ask for help. Okay? I will log off now and get back to studies.

The Steve Jobs account is a special account. It wasn't from the real Steve Jobs from Apple. And in reality it didn't take 10 years for the second user to register...

I think that is a little unfair to our Trail Boss. As I understand it, there were originally Kathy's web site, and Paul's web site. They both had different parts of what is now the coderanch.

IF i recall correctly, Kathy's was more articles and static pages, whereas Paul created the forums and the cattle drive. I don't know who owned the name first, but to say the whole site was created by Kathy is grossly unfair to Paul.
