Since you are getting what appears to be premature end-of-file loading the session information, there are a few things worth looking at:
1. Does the storage device that the sessions are written to have enough space? It's possible that the disk filled up while being written to and the remaining data was lost.
2. Are there physical I/O issues with the storage device? I have had problems using LAN storage for WARs, although I never tried putting session data on a network drive.
3. Is the persistent storage correctly configured? It's possible that the storage device was not properly defined and that therefore the session data was written out to the Twilight Zone.
The secret of how to be miserable is to constantly expect things are going to happen the way that they are "supposed" to happen.
You can have faith, which carries the understanding that you may be disappointed. Then there's being a willfully-blind idiot, which virtually guarantees it.
