Action class method are not executed when submit the page

Hi,

when i submit a form (after some editing in fields value), it show all fields blanks. it does not execute the method of action class.

struts.xml:

<action name="blockUpdate" class="com.action.BlockAction" method="Update">
<result name="success" type="chain">listDisplay</result>
<result name="input" type="tiles">/blockUpdate.tiles</result>	
</action> 

tiles.xml:

<definition name="/blockUpdate.tiles" extends="base">
<put-attribute name="body" value="/jsp/abcblocks/blockEdit.jsp" />
</definition>

when these mofication in struts.xml file:

<action name="blockUpdate" class="com.action.BlockAction" method="Update">
<result name="success" type="chain">listDisplay</result>
<!-- <result name="input" type="tiles">/blockUpdate.tiles</result> -->
</action>

it shows: HTTP Status 404 - No result defined for action com.action.ErrorHandlingAction and result input

when these modifications in both files:

struts.xml:

<action name="blockUpdate" class="com.action.BlockAction" method="Update">
   <interceptor-ref name="store">
     <param name="operationMode">STORE</param>
   </interceptor-ref>
   <interceptor-ref name="defaultStack" />
   <result name="input" type="tiles">/handleErrorException.tiles</result>
   <result name="success" type="chain">listDisplay</result>
</action>

tiles.xml:

<definition name="/handleErrorException.tiles" extends="base">
		<put-attribute name="title" value="Error Exception Page"></put-attribute>
		<put-attribute name="body" value="/jsp/exceptionPages/handleErrorException.jsp"></put-attribute>
	</definition>

now when submit the form (in editing mode), it print null on jsp page.

How to find out the error.

I would really appreciate some feedback/help here.
