I want to know where does Interfaces definition resides in JVM memory model ? Means when we compile and run Interface classes, where does interface definition resides ?
I think it is Perm Gen space

I couldn't answer your question, but i do wonder why does it matter? This seems like one of those details that unless you are writing a JVM, it's really not worth the effort to know/learn/care about.

just my 2-cents.

Perm gen space (metaspace in Java 8) is used to store Class objects.

According to docs.oracle.com

Instances of the class Class represent classes and interfaces in a running Java application.

Well, that's a pretty crappy interview then. Why would an interviewer ask these kinds of questions about things that are totally irrelevant for normal Java developers?

Yes. And that should indicate the crappy level of the interviewer as well.

But I would still be interested to hear how OP answered the question.
