I'm currently studying Spring MVC framework and decided to study Maven architecture as well.

I picked maven-archetype-webapp as my archetype for my project, but I seem to have some problem with error warnings and auto-completion in Java classes, eclipse does not show any error warnings even If I type anything in a Java class, I tried to search some reference on google, but no luck (maybe my english is not sufficient to ask the proper thing).

I attached an image to show what it looks like in my Eclipse IDE

eclipse version : 4.4 - Luna
maven version : 3.2.2

Thanks in advance.

for more than an hour or two, struggling with my English just to ask google the proper questions, finally I solved it, I thought it had something to do with compiler version compliance, build path problems. I just realized it was just me, I just realized that I NEED TO and SHOULD comply with Maven's project structure using eclipse. I was putting the java files in the resources folder which I should not have done in the first place. Now all the warnings and errors are being shown after I put my java files in their right places (i.e main/java). I feel so pissed off but at the same time overwhelmed. I learned a lot of things with just a little tiny problem

Now I know the power of eclipse.

Its time to deal with another one
