So, if your servlet does not have a doGet() method, then this is what will be returned by default when you try to do a HTTP GET request - the GET method will not be allowed, because there's nothing to handle GET requests.
Take a look at the HttpServlet.java source for all the various HTTP methods - if your servlet code does not override them SC_METHOD_NOT_ALLOWED is generated.
