If the response is known to be a String, you can use the getResponseBodyAsString method which will automatically use the encoding specified in the Content-Type header or ISO-8859-1 if no charset is specified.



download the latest 4.3.5 version fom there, incorporated into my app.

Ok, there is a sample, outdated so it does no work: sample

Is that (getResponseBodyAsString) even there any more ?

Can't find any sample that would be using that ...

You could check what's available in latest version from the API.
