At work here we use "org.easytesting:fest-assert-core:2.0M10". We've been using it for quite some time with no problems.

It's a great library, but it's a matter of taste whether you prefer the fest style assertions over Hamcrest. My preference is hamcrest, but my colleague prefers fest. Neither of us is right, or wrong.

Great, yes you're right, it's a matter of taste, for now, we're trying this out, but need to know if it's stable or not. thanks

Well, version 2.0M10 is the current release version so I'm going to say yes, it's stable. We've never had an issue with it.

What kind of instability are you worried about?

Read where?

Specifically, what "broken integration"?

I think it would be reasonable to expect that the fix for that issue which appeared to be present in 1.5-SNAPSHOT will have made it out with release version 1.5. But, you can't assume anything so I would strongly recommend that you test out for yourself, with the most recent version, the particular usage scenario that you are intending to employ it for.

Is FEST even active anymore? This article: http://www.javacodegeeks.com/2014/10/assertj-fest-hamcrest.html says it's been inactive for a while. AssertJ http://joel-costigliola.github.io/assertj/ is a fork that looks like it has integrations you're looking for. I still prefer Hamcrest.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
