Tomcat manager will not load after deploying war file

I have successfully deployed a war file, but if ii try to go back into TomCat manager, it fails to recognize the user name and password. When I check the tomcat-users.xml, the lines i have added for the manager.gui have been deleted. Even if I add them back, It still won'tlet me in. Anyway to gt the manager working again? Thanks.

It's hard to tell what you did wrong without further details. How did you deploy the WAR file?
