Mac Noobie needs help

Hi,

As a long time PC user, Ive recently inherited an iMac G4 (goose neck design) from a relative that I want to include into my home network, which is all PC's.

Having never owned a Mac, I have a few questions and I was wondering if anyone would be so kind to help me out

1) I want to share the same keyboard and mouse between my main desktop PC and the iMac. Keyboard and Mouse peripherals are both USB. Now a KVM is the perfect solution for this, and I was looking at a Belkin solution, but I dont need to have both machines share monitors as the iMac has its own built in. Can I use a KVM to share both keyboard and mouse, but not monitor?

2) Anyone recommend a good Mac Forum that I can go post on for other topics?

Jeez, how come I don't have relatives like that?

1) I've never done so, but I can think of no reason why not. You may have to muck around with keyboard mappings to get the modifier keys set up to your liking.

Maybe someone else will have concrete experience...
