Hey Arno,
I'm pretty sure I don't press the boundaries too hard, and so everything I've tried works great. Again, I know this is a subset of what you might want to do, but here are the things I've done, Java-wise on my poor old, tired Powerbook:
- All the J2SE
testing for HF Java, and K&B (both 1.4 and 5.0)
- All the
Servlets and
JSP work for HF Servlets, using
Tomcat - Work on the SCMAD exam using the Windows simulator and the Wireless toolkit. (It was slow, but it worked, and I think a lot has changed since then to make it faster.)
- Also, some standard Swing and AWT stuff.
- Kathy did all of her work for HF
EJB on her PowerBook - and the Sun R.I. (at the time).
Being a luddite by nature, I haven't played around with very many IDEs, but the little bit I have done has given me no trouble.
I'm not a huge Unix expert, but everything I've ever wanted to do in the terminal has been great, and sure a lot nicer than an MS-DOS prompt window
hth,
Bert
