Our client is looking for a Senior Java Developer in the Portal Application Department. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Java developer who likes a fast paced and challenging environment.

This position will construct and integrate all layers of J2EE based portal applications. A significant part of the position is troubleshooting production issues across multiple environments. This developer will also be responsible for analyzing user and system documentation, procedures, and problems to enhance and/or support existing portal applications. In addition, this position will provide guidance and mentoring to projects and/or other Java developers.

Required Basic Skills and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or 2+ years of Senior Java Development experience
Required experience in the following technologies and methodology's: Java development (3 years minimum), SQL, Weblogic, Unix, HTML, Struts Architecture, Object oriented development lifecycle
Understanding of relational databases and databases design fundamentals (Oracle, DB2). Experience using ant scripts; troubleshooting WebLogic 8.1 and Apache; JDK 1.3 or 1.4; experience with component development techniques; in-depth understanding and expertise with web application development and infrastructure.
Good oral and written communication skills.
