YellowJacket Software (YJS) http://www.yellowjacketsoftware.com, an innovator in providing cutting-edge, complex trading applications for the Weather and Energy Derivatives marketplace, is currently seeking a highly-motivated, top-notch System and Database Administrator for a permanent full-time position.

YJS is committed to quality, innovation and customer support. YJS hires exceptional people and provides an environment where the best minds can do their best work. You will be joining a team of MIT alumni that has experience in bringing complex trading systems to market.

This position will primarily involve setting up, maintaining and tuning clusters of production Linux servers running a number of applications, including MySQL, Sonic MQ, Apache, LDAP, and XMPP. Responsibilities also include setting up and maintaining internal systems for QA and general business needs (including Windows based networks).

Technical Qualifications:
*At least 4 years experience with relational database systems.
*At least 2 years experience with production MySQL installations, including experience with:
*Replication and failover
*Performance tuning
*Linux systems
*Shell scripting to automate database maintenance and problem notification
*Experience running production Unix servers, including maintaining security in an internet environment.
*Experience with Windows networks a plus.

Non-Technical Qualifications:
*Excellent interpersonal communications skills.
*A vision for the future, and a desire to make a difference.
*BS or MS degree in CS or similar.
*Experience using or developing financial trading applications a plus.
