A little confused parsing XML

Hi guys... I'm a little confused on how to parse my XML data...

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
 
<characters>
    <item>
        <name>Gokou</name>
        <age>????</age>
        <affiliation>Dragon Ball</affiliation>
        <description>
            From the Planet Saiyan
        </description>
    </item>
 
    <item>
        <name>Heero Yuy</name>
        <age>15</age>
        <affiliation>Gundam Wing</affiliation>
        <description>
            Referred to as "Perfect Soldier"
        </description>
     </item>
 
    <item>
        <name>Raziel</name>
        <age>????</age>
        <affiliation>Legacy of Kain</affiliation>
        <description>
            Redeemer and Destroyer
        </description>
    </item>
 
</characters>

I need to dig further down into the "item" tags so I can get the "name" tag for each item and disply them on a listbox... Basically that's all I need... Thanks!
