Hi there...
Well I have to create a dynamic page wherein the user is given the opportunity to search accross the site. however, it's most likely that the search will return many reaults, with an average of 30 reuslts. It's unlikely to display all the results in one page, hence the user should be given small links at the bottom of the page to indicate the number of pages reulted from the search and also to allow the user move from one result set to another. This is very much similar to the approach implemented by major serach engine such as Yahoo.
My question is, what is the theory behind this technique? I doubt that the web server will save all the results. Is this related to SQL and how the database is queried? Please shower me with your valuable instructions.

There is an entry in the JSP FAQ regarding pagination that you might find helpful.
