Does Laszlo helps enabling Web 2.0 and is its introduction an aftereffect of Web 2.0 concept?

Actually Laszlo has been around for awhile and it predates Web 2.0. But yes, I think that Web 2.0 demands capabilities that require a higher level of user interactivity than we are accustomed to with today's class of web applcations.
