i want to know, where exactly the xml is used???
is xml a replacement to the databases(oracle,sqlserver tables) in some
situations?

Hy Venu,

XML is not a permanent solution to data base.
I can say XML IS ONE FORM OF STORAGE WHERE U CAN STORE THE DATA.
If the data is very less then other than storing in a Data base ,we can store it in a XML format and we can apply all sort of logic that u apply for databses to retrive the data.The data stored in the XML can be retrived by parsers like SAX,DOM.
