Hi All,

I have taken scwcd test on thursday and by Gods grace I have qualified with 100%

I read Head First Servlets and JSP 1st edition 3 times, dynamic attributes tutorial at the site and skimmed over the second edition. I tried to read the specs but it was very lengthy and boring... so just skimmed over(not much to be told frankly)...I took me 1 month to prepare for the exam

did the mock exams at the end of the book. The exams complexity is no where compared to the exam questions...
so dont worry even if you havent qualified the mock test at the end of the book(as i too couldnt qualify the test)

Thanks to Kathy Sierra,Bert Bates and Bryan Basham for such a wonderful book...I qualified SJCP last year by reading your book...with that confidence I read only your book for the exam and it sufficed me to get all the details essential for the exam...but iam really worried about the errata in the book..if i couldnt have checked with errata...i could have missed many details...some topics like variable attribute in custom tags and others which are not covered in the book have also appeared in the exam...

so please mark the errata in the book before reading for the test...I did it at the end and had a confusion about some of the topics and answers

I was a silent member of the forum and read the posts regularly...keep a watch on all the posts...some questions in the posts are very closely related to the questions on exam...

Thanks to all who helped me to qualify for the test.

Congratulation! It looks very good on resume

I am doing preparation for the SCWCD 5 exam. Can you please guide me about how to do preparation for an exam as i am getting only 1-2 hrs per day for preparation due to too much busy schedule?

Is HFSJ 2nd edition only sufficient to get good score in scwcd?

Thanks to all and specially God for helping and providing confidence.

Hi Kunal...thts true...I have read only tht book and did some tests...some of the exams at the end of chapter have questions for which you need to refer specs...i did the same...but skim through the specs if poosible and also API..

Not planning to write any test right now...need to take some rest
