Hi All:

I could clear the sample test for IBM-287( a $10 test from IBM site) with 65%.

Please let me know if the real exam is near to it or is it easier or tougher than the sample test.

Advice me when I can take the real exam.

Thanks in advance and let me know if there are any tips and tricks that I need to follow to take the real exam.

The real exam is way tougher than the sample test.

Just going thru the study materials will not help, you have to do a sample project(EJB/MDB) using WSAD. IBM exams are not like SUN, every question is tricky.

Sorry to scare you ...

Hi

I failed to take 287 last year.

I used Kushner's book. Unfortunately for me it was a completely waste of time. The level required for the exam, scenarios, is not covered. It might be a good source, for guys that already have practical experience with WAS.

It is difficult to overcome your lack of experience when taking this exam. It seems that the even the red books are not enough. I was very frustrated with those IBM certifications and I felt completely lost.

Below, you can find some threads about this exam

Goog luck with your test!!!

Thanks Americo,

Your links were useful.

I am now really perplexed as to how I can start the preparation for 287.

The contents in red books specified are too much to grasp for the exam.

As well, not able to know the sleected topics to read.

Any advice on this is welcome.

Thanks MZ for your links.

They are really good.
