Does anyone know approximately when this test will be publicly available and out of beta? Is there going to be a "Head First" book for this exam? Thanks.

Usually, the exam will be released 2 months after the beta exam period.

I dont think so, as Bert and Kathy have lots of books on hand.

The servlets book is first - it's coming soon - we're really tired

We have some GREAT co-authors leading the charge on Patterns - it's in progress
PHP has been postponed a bit
Final cut is 'slightly' postponed - coming soon
HF Flash is being worked on by another GREAT co-author - probably will be a little slower
HF Statistics is being considered
HF SCMAD is being considered
SCJWSD is fairly low on the 'possible' list
SCEA is very low on the 'possible' list
