Hi,
Passed SCBCD 5 with 85% on 15-Sep-08.

Studied about 1.5 months for this. books followed are:
  • Enterprise JavaBeans 3.0 - O'Reilly
  • EJB 3.0 core spec
  • EJB 3.0 persistence spec
  • EJB 3 in Action (Just a few chapters)

  • Also practised using Enthuware's EJB 5 simulator. While this product is wonderful, one shortcoming I found is that the questions are too repeated. I would still recommend it though.

There were questions on all sections. To mention particularly, Persistence and Security sections were real-brainers.

All the best to all test-takers.

    Congratulations

is it better to read "Enterprise JavaBeans 3.0 - O'Reilly" than "EJB3 In Action"?

I haven't read "EJB3 In Action" end-to-end so won't comment. But the few chapters I went through were very particular and well-explained. I liked that book.

Congratulations! 1.5 month with such score is great!
I am planning to take the exam as well. Today I have finished reading study material, and I want to proceed with mock tests. However there is so much information, so I don't even know what results to expect. Scary thing :-)
