I have been following this forum for 2 months, but this is the first time I wrote something to the community.
I just passed the
test this morning with 83%. Not a very good score anyway. I just want to give a summary of what I did for those who are preparing for the exam.
I studied this for about 1 hour everyday for the past month. First I started with reading one of the study notes which you can find in javaranch's scwcd links. I forget which one it is, it's about 60 pages in total.
After that I bought JWebPlus and did 2 easiest,2 easy,2 tough, 2 toughest tests. One for each day. Passed all of them with more than 61 precent as they recommended. Then I did all the five standard test in five days. Each gives me about 75-86%. Then I took the test this morning.
My feeling is it is a little harder than I thought. The first 12 are very easy, but some easy questions have hidden trick. If you are too familiar with the questions listed in Jwebplus or many other mock exam, you might think they are the same type of question. So please read them carefully and don't take them for granted.
They didn't ask a lot about api method name as in JwebPlus, only 1-2. The 3 multithread questions are harder than I have seen in any other mock exam. Quite a lot tablib questions. Also pay attention to listeners. I remember there were at least 5 questions.
Generally, I think the questions in the test are more discriptive and tricky. I marked 16 questions out as "not 100% sure" and I guess I lost many of them.
That's all. Just for your reference. Hope it helps.
I will go for
SCJD next. Seems to be a tough one.
Thanks to Javaranch and jwebplus. Good luck.
