Hi friends!!

I've finally cleared SCWCD with 95% today.
And I'm happy to achieve it without any exam simulators like Whizlabs and JWebPlus!!
And the exam was tough .I felt that most of the questions required a lot of thought and if one has the right concepts, he can crack it.

I had given the mock exam of HFSJ the night before, and scored 75%.

Most of the takers talked of surplus time. But I felt that the extra time has to be utilized in revision. I had revised each & every question
again without which I would have lost 8-10%.

For last two days before the exam, I read the specifications (JSP2.0,Servlet 2.4 and JSTL1.1 ) and this really was of great help.
And its useless talk to say that how to read 400 pages of specs.
Initially I too was relunctant but I said to myself "If I can read HFSJ (800+ pages) why not the specs" Morover, often it becomes boring to revise the same book again & again. The simplicity of the spec made the revision of concepts easier.

I thank the authors of HFSJ for their wonderful book. SCWCD Study Kit by Manning also helped me a lot.

And thanks to all the members of the this forum, who helped me to be up to date.

With Regards ,
Amit Jain

Thanks all of you!!

I really feel very comfortable when I browse this forum 'cause it's only you people understand what it takes to be certified. Otherwise , whenever I talk about it to the rest of the world, most of the time I get discouraged.

Thanks Bert, It's a great feeling to receive a reply from some one under whose guidance I've reached till here and still this is not the end.

Prathap, you can find the spec on this link:

Hi Anil!!

I'll first advise you to make your concepts strong, esp in new topics like EL, tag files , & Simple tags. You'll need HFSJ book for this. After finishing the book, practice the review questions . Then you can answer the queries of members of this group or post yours . This helps alot as in this way you'll never forget it.
For last 20 days before exams, keep giving free mock exams on net (ex. www.j2eecertificate.com ) & give mock exam of HFSJ (just day before).

Wishing you best of luck.
Amit
